Please report it to the local police, as this might be a requirement for your insurance. If you have lost your bank card, make sure you cancel it or speak to a member of staff at the info points, as we have lost property handed in all the time.
In case of emergency, dial 112. All medical expenses must be paid immediately, and you can claim them back from your insurance.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before arriving in Croatia to cover any accidents, injuries, or lost property. Ensure you store the documents on your phone for easy access.
Please contact the nearest British embassy, consulate or high commission. If you need urgent help because something has happened to a friend or relative abroad, contact the FCDO in London on 020 7008 5000 (24 hours).
The event is strictly 18+, and a valid photo ID (passport or driving license) is required.
Hideout has a zero-tolerance drug policy. More details on local laws can be found here.
Police Presence on Zrće Beach & in Novalja
Throughout the festival period there will be an increased police presence across Zrće Beach and the town of Novalja.
Please note that the Croatian Police operate independently. Hideout Festival, our venues and event partners have no authority over police operations or enforcement activity.
Police officers may be in uniform or plain clothes and their approach may differ from what you are used to in your home country.
Croatian Police have the legal authority to stop individuals, request identification and carry out searches where permitted under Croatian law. We recommend carrying valid photo ID with you whenever you are away from your accommodation.
Please remember:
If you experience any issues or believe you have been treated unfairly, please speak to a member of the Hideout Welfare or Event Safety Teams as soon as possible. While we cannot intervene in police matters, we will help you access appropriate support and direct you to the relevant authorities or your embassy/consulate where required.
Look after yourself and your friends.
Have an incredible week and stay safe.
